Abusive behavior
You may not engage in targeted harassment of someone or incite others to do so. Abusive behavior is any attempt to harass, intimidate, or silence others.
the reason
You should feel safe expressing your unique point of view on LibonPost . We believe in freedom of expression and open dialogue, but the silencing of voices because people fear the consequences of speaking up detracts greatly from this basic principle.
To facilitate healthy dialogue on the platform, and to enable individuals to express opposing opinions and beliefs, we prohibit behavior that is harassing, intimidating, or otherwise intended to defame or disparage others. In addition to posing threats to people's safety, abusive behavior may also cause those affected to suffer physically and emotionally.
When does this apply?
Some tweets may appear offensive when viewed individually, but when viewed in the context of a larger conversation, they appear otherwise. When we review this type of content, it may not be clear whether it is intended to harass an individual, or whether it is in the context of a consensual conversation. To help our teams understand the context of a conversation, we may need to listen directly to the target person, to ensure we have the required information before taking any law enforcement action.
We will review and take action on accounts that target an individual or group of individuals through any of the following behaviors within Tweets or Direct Messages. Please refer to our Abusive Profile Policy for information about accounts engaging in abusive behavior on their profile. Conduct that targets people based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or serious illness may constitute a violation of our Hateful Conduct Policy.
Expressing a desire or wish for serious harm to a person or group of people
We do not tolerate content that desires, wishes, promotes, incites or expresses a wish for death, serious bodily harm or serious illness to an individual or group of individuals. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
Wishing someone would die as a result of a serious illness, for example, “I hope they get cancer and die.”
Wishing someone would be the victim of a serious accident, for example, “I hope you get run over by a car the next time you don't stop talking.”
Saying that a group of individuals deserves serious bodily injury, for example, "If this group of protesters don't shut up, they deserve to be shot."
About exceptions to wishing harm on LibonPost
We recognize that conversations about individuals who have been truthfully accused of committing severe acts of violence may spark anger and associated harm-seeking. In these limited cases, we will ask the user to delete the Tweet without the risk of account penalties or suspension. Examples of this include, but are not limited to:
“I wish death to all rapists.”
“Child molesters should be hanged.”
Unwanted sexual advances
Although some consensual nudity and adult content are permitted on LibonPost , we prohibit unwanted sexual advances and content that sexually depicts an individual without their consent. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
Send someone unwanted adult media, including photos, videos, and GIFs; And
Unwanted sexual discussion about someone's body; And
soliciting sexual acts; And
Any other content that otherwise depicts an individual in a sexual manner without their consent.
Using aggressive insults for the purpose of harassing or intimidating others
We take action against overly aggressive insults directed at an individual, including content that includes slurs or similar language. Please also note that while some individuals may find certain terms offensive, we do not take action in every situation where offensive terms are used.
Encouraging or urging others to harass an individual or group of individuals
We prohibit behavior that encourages others to harass or target specific individuals or groups for abusive behavior. This includes, but is not limited to, calls to target people with online abuse or harassment and offline behavior such as physical harassment.
Do I have to be the target of this content in order for it to be reviewed for violating the LibonPost rules?
No, we review reports of such content from both the person involved and a witness to the event.
Consequences
When determining the penalty for violating this policy, we consider a number of factors including, but not limited to, the severity of the violation and the individual's prior record of law violations.
For example, we might require someone to remove content that violates our rules and to remain in read-only mode for a period of time before they can Tweet again. Subsequent violations will result in longer reading-only periods and may ultimately be grounds for permanent suspension. If an account primarily engages in abusive behavior, we may permanently suspend the account upon initial review.
